Meet Chef Michael
Executive Chef Michael specializes in mostly Italian and American dishes. Michael attended his culinary training in Boston, Massachusetts. He is proud to say that he’s been in the food industry as a chef for 22 years. In addition to his work at Portofino’s, he has also worked for Calandra’s Il Vecchio Café, Caldwell, NJ and for Paparazzi, Short Hills, NJ.
Despite the enjoyment he has for cooking (and eating) Italian food daily, Michael's favorite food is his own Churrasco. Michael likes to create new recipes and is very creative in the kitchen.
When not in the kitchen, Michael enjoys music, salsa dancing, soccer and spending time with his family.
